Caterpillar, youth cultural association based in Limbo, the Association expresses its solidarity with the village elders beneficial to the recent acts of vandalism suffered. In the past the two organizations have cooperated by sharing space in the Civic Center and we learn how repugnant attacks on public buildings and people once again can be attributed to a group of kids. The last case
September 7, 2007, when the headquarters of the elders of the village Jupiter was just another broken glass. They are called episodes of bullying, intimidation when they are addressed to peers, peer to prevail and establish a hierarchy. But when the guys they pick on the elderly, even to beat her, as happened on one occasion to an unfortunate member of the Association of Village Giovi, followed by the usual bunch of street kids and kicked and punched in an alley, you called social problems.
We are dismayed to see that today boys of 12/13 years to pass the day to plan attacks on the headquarters of senior citizens, physically threaten Divella benches and helpless elderly. The group band was reported by Mr. Mercorillo to the competent authorities, but what is the result? Attacks and intimidation continue.
Association Caterpillar, has always stressed the importance of creating permanent community centers for young people to become a landmark in the territory by helping to overcome difficult situations. These situations are contrasted by the vacuum around these bands, taking away the young audience who commented on the heroic acts, by involving young people in public life.
We believe that the creation of multiple centers of aggregation is important. Not only the model of the CAG that covers the reality of Pinzano, but also less expensive to administer initiatives but continuous in time as spaces used for young people and youth associations that may be present in the territory. This is because the political events youth concerts and festivals, though commendable, have a weakness: you can not do 365 events a year, while Limbiate young people living there every day.
With our appeal we hope that the competent authorities take these events as signs of real needs and dangerous, they deserve a thorough analysis and appropriate solutions.
